North East India consists of eight states and each one has its own unique culture and tradition.

Xaj

Xaj is a traditional Assamese alcoholic drink made from fermented sugarcane juice. It has a sweet flavour and is enough to give that desired tipsy feeling with just one glass.

Apong

Apong, found both in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam is a rice beer. This one is similar to other rice beer options but has a stronger taste and flavour.

Zu

This one is a traditional rice beer and one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in Mizoram. Made with fermented rice, Zu is quite strong in terms of flavour and taste. It definitely gives the same feeling as any other high-end beer.

Lao Khaw (Lao tea)

Lao Khaw is a unique alcoholic beverage made by fermenting tea leaves.
