A netizen recently lauded Nagaland tourism minister Temjen Imna Along for his good natured way of handling jokes about himself

Along, in a post on X, recently shared a meme made about him regarding the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland that takes place between December 1 to 10 every year

“Ayalee, kya kya bana lete hain. All I can say is CLOSE ENOUGH,” wrote Along in a caption

One of the netizen named Ankit Kapoor lauded Along of his way of handling jokes about himself which is an inspiration

“People should learn from you how to take jokes on self, rather than abusing back. Very good and inspiring,” he commented

Along had earlier said that the 2023 edition of the Hornbill Festival will be “more interesting and different” than previous years

He also invited tourists from all over the world to witness the 10-day celebration of Nagaland’s diverse and vibrant culture

To encourage inter-tribal interaction and to promote cultural heritage of the state, Nagaland government celebrates Hornbill Festival every year in December

Popularly known as the ‘Festival of Festivals,’ the Hornbill Festival gets its name from the hornbill bird which is displayed in the folklore of most of the state’s tribes

The festival comprises of colourful cultural performances of local artistes, traditional fairs, games and competitions
