Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has recently shared a video of how the corridor of Kamakhya Temple is going to look in the future.

Sarma had earlier announced an allocation of Rs. 300 crores for building a corridor at Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on the lines of Kashi -Vishwanath corridor in Varanasi.

On Apri 18, 2023, the Chief Minister took to Twitter to share a glimpse of how the renovated Maa Kamakhya corridor will look like in the near future.

Responding to the tweet by Assam CM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed hope that Maa Kamakhya corridor will be a landmark initiative that boost tourism and economy

“I am sure Maa Kamakhya corridor will be a landmark initiative,” Modi said in a tweet.

“Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Shree Mahakal Mahalok have been transformative as far as the spiritual experience is concerned. Equally important is the fact that tourism is enhanced and the local economy gets a boost,” he added

The Kamakhya Temple is one of the most important religious destinations of India where lakhs of pilgrims visit everyday to take blessings from the Mother Goddess Kamakhya

Situated in Guwahati’s Nilachal Hill, the Kamakhya Temple is the most famous of the 51 Shaktipeeths and is a well-known tourist spot of Assam
