The King of Comedy  Raju Srivastava, who had made the whole nation laugh with his iconic jokes, passed away at the age of 58 in AIIMS Delhi on September 21, 2022

He suffered a heart attack while running on a treadmill at a gym on August 10, 2022 and was soon hospitalized

The man, who is an inspiration for a lot of stand-up comedians in India, was fighting for his life in the hospital and even put on ventilator support ultimately breathed his last at 10: 20 AM today

He shot to fame with his stand-up comedy performances in the first season of the reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge where he emerged as the second runner-up

Besides being a highly known face in the world of comedy, Srivastav also acted in Bollywood films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, Baazigar.

Srivastav, who was a famous person from the entertainment industry and featured in several comedy shows, also had a brief political career too

The Samajwadi Party had fielded Raju Srivastava from Kanpur for the 2014 General Elections, but he returned the ticket and later joined the BJP in March 2014

Srivastav’s fans took to social media to pen heartfelt message of condolences for their favourite icon of Indian comedy

He leaves behind his wife Sikha, and two children Antara and Ayushman.
