Diwali is a time when family and friends exchange gifts, light up their surroundings with lamps and gorge heartily on varities of food

If you are looking to gorge heartily on Diwali mithais without affecting your health, follow these steps as suggested by Ayurveda expert Dr. Dixa Bhavsar Savaliya-

1. Eat in moderation (not with guilt or greed rather with gratitude). That way you will be satisfied soon

2. Sip on warm water half an hour post eating your favourite food.

3. Drink this tea 1 hour after having your favourite food i.e. Mint- curry leaf- Ginger Tea. To make it, add 7-10 curry leaves, handful of mint leaves & grate small piece of ginger in a glass of water. Boil for 3 mins, strain and sip on it. You’ll feel light & relaxed

4. Try to eat sweets for lunch and not for dinner.

5. Have a light dinner on those days when you eat your favourite foods.
