Australian cricketer David Warner expressed gratitude towards India for being incredible hosts for World Cup 2023

Warner, in a post on Instagram, appreciated the people who were involved in hosting the World Cup 2023

He also expressed gratitude towards the Indian cricket fans for their love and support though the ‘results didn’t go the Indian way’

“ Firstly I want to say thank you to India for hosting an absolutely incredible World Cup. The effort put into these events are enormous. Thank you to all the people involved behind the scenes, ground staff, people in the dressing rooms, kitchen hands, chefs, hotel staff, security, police, event organisers, the list goes on but most importantly the fans,” he wrote in a post.

“ Road blocks airport chaos when we have to sneak through, your patience is much appreciated. Without you all we can not play the game we all love. I know the result didn’t go way but what it was, was an amazing few weeks,” he added

“ Chuffed to walk away as winners and 6 times champions. Our whole team should be extremely proud. Thanks again everyone, see you in 2027,” he added

Meanwhile, many Indian cricket fans appreciated and congratulated him for winning World Cup 2023

“David mate, we are all heartbroken in India, but you deserve the title very much. You are one of the greatest cricketers Australia has ever produced and now you are 2-time ODI World Cup champion. Congrats,” one wrote

“I think this world cup is really heart broken for india but your team played a great match on the day so congratulations and love for you bro. you and rohit is dream opening pair,” another added

Warner is one of the popular Australian cricketers in India. He had recently wished Indian cricket fans on the occasion of Diwali with his three daughters in a video on Instagram
