Prior to the grand opening of Kedarnath and Badrinath Temples, both of these famous Hindu shrines have been gloriously decorated

Besides the flowers of various hues that were used for decorating these famous temples in India, the Japi of Assam also stood out as it has been beautifully placed at the entrance doors

Japi is a conical hat made from tightly woven bamboo or cane and decorated with beautiful cloth designs

It has been an important cultural symbol from the era of Ahom kings and was also used as a traditional agricultural headgear by the farmers but today it is used as a decorative item in houses and offered as a sign of respect in ceremonies

Devotees who had throng these temples were simply awestruck with the beautiful decorations that has created a wonderful visual spectacle

While Kedarnath Temple opened its door for devotees at 6:30 AM on April 25, the Badrinath Temple welcomed devotees after its portals were opened at 7:10 AM on April 27

Meanwile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also tweeted about how Japi has formed an example of Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat

“ Priests from Karnataka and Kerala, Japi from Assam and devotees from all over Bharat at Uttarakhand’s Shri Kedarnath & Shri Badrinath Dham. Perfect example of Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat,” he wrote on Twitter
