Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has declared that the recruitment exam in paramilitary forces being conducted in multiple regional languages has been a ‘game changer’ for the state

According to Sarma, the new recruitment process for paramilitary forces has now broadened the scope for youngsters of Assam to serve the motherland

“Opening up of the paramilitary exams to multiple regional languages is truly a game changer!,” Sarma said in a post on X

“Youngsters from States like Assam will now have a better possibility to serve Maa Bharti!” he added

The recruitment examination in the paramilitary forces is now being conducted in 13 languages apart from Hindi and English

These regional languages include Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri and Konkani

The statement of Sarma comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing in the Rozgar Mela on August 28, 2023

The new recruits have been hired under various paramilitary forces of India like Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Narcotics control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the various positions such as Constable (General Duty), Sub-Inspector (General Duty) and Non–General Duty Cadre Posts in various organisations under the Ministry of Home Affairs

Modi, who termed the new appointees as ‘Amrit Rakshak’ of ‘Amrit Kaal’ , said that they will not only serve the country but will also protect the country and the countrymen
