If you wake up in the morning and start your day with these popular beverages i.e. tea or coffee, it is time to reflect again and make a healthy switch to some healthier drinks

According to renowned dietitian Manpreet Kalra, starting your day with tea and biscuits can cause acidity, hinder nutrition absorption, increase belly fat and cause rapid spike in blood sugar levels

She suggests that you should start your day with these drinks-

1. Saunf water

Add 1 tsp of fennel seeds powder in a glass of water, stir and serve. It reduces inflammation of the gut, relieves GERD and digestive issues

2. Coriander Seeds Water

Add 1 tsp of coriander seeds powder in a glass of water, stir and serve. This drink stimulates digestive enzymes which improves digestion and prevents bloating or flatulence

3. Aloe Vera Juice

Add 15 ml of aloe vera juice in a glass of water, stir and serve. It acts as a natural laxative which improves gut mobility and solves constipation issues

4. Coconut water with cinnamon

If you have a sweet tooth, you can prepare this drink by adding a pinch of cinnamon in coconut water. It regulates blood sugar levels and improves leptin sensitivity

5. Coconut water with halim seeds

Add 1/4th tsp of Halim seeds (soaked for 2 hours) in coconut water. This is a drink which is rich in iron and promotes hair growth and prevents breakage by stimulating hair follicles on the scalp
