North East Network (NEN) is a women’s organisation working in the north east region of India with a focus on women’s human rights. Ever since its inception in 1995, our role has been that of a facilitator to empower women of northeast around issues of livelihood, health, conflict and governance through capacity building, awareness raising, networking, research and advocacy.

Essential Qualification/s and Experience:
Post Graduate in Humanities/ Social Sciences or other related fields with minimum 7 years of experience in similar position or leadership position on women’s issues in nonprofit organisation. Applicants with a background in the Gender and Development course will be given an added advantage.

Essential Skills:
- Passion for social justice and community development.
- Proven track record of programme management, team leadership and partnership building.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Capabilities: Strategic thinking, problem solving, adaptability. Capacity to work independently and interdisciplinary with diverse stakeholders including Government, NGOs, CBOs and community.
- Understanding of and work experience on issues of Gender Based Violence, Governance & State Accountability, Natural Resource Regeneration, Livelihoods.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse area
- Excellent written and communication skills in English and knowledge of Nagamese is an added advantage.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel as and when required in project areas, between NEN State offices and other units.
- Experience of working in Nagaland is an added advantage
