A general observer for the bye election to Ampati Assembly constituency, Hans Raj Chauhan has arrived in Ampati.

The IAS officer will be available at Ampati Circuit House from 11 am to 12 noon till May 31 to meet the general public in connection with the conduct of Ampati by-election.

Meanwhile, an election expenditure observer, Sanket Deshmukh, who arrived in the constituency on May 5 has been camping in Ampati Circuit House. Three candidates have filed their nomination papers for the bye election slated for May 28, and counting of votes on May 31.

Congress nominee, Miani Dalbot Shira, ruling National People’s Party candidate, Clement G. Momin, and Independent nominee, Subhankar Koch has offered their candidature.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is May 14
