COVID-19: Omicron reaches 500 mark in India

Omicron in India has reached 500+ cases with the total cases being reported at 535 cases.

The “highly infectious” COVID-19 variant was reported in two more states of the country on Sunday.

Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh were the new states to report the cases.

Among the news cases, Madhya Pradesh has nine cases that were said to be foreign travelers.

As per reports, eight cases were detected in a private library.

reported nine cases, all of them were foreign travelers.

Officials further said that all the nine were fully vaccinated persons and one person even had a booster dose.

Among the cases in Himachal, a 45-year-old woman was found to be infected with the omicron.

It may be mentioned that Maharashtra has reported 31 new cases which have been the highest ever single-day detection in terms of the omicron variant.

Maharashtra till Monday morning reported 141 cases in total.

Among these cases, 27 were reported from Mumbai.

Kerala reported 19 new cases and has 57 cases in total.

Delhi has reported 70 total cases while Rajasthan and Gujarat have reported 49 cases each.

Haryana has reported seven new cases taking the state’s tally to 13.
