“But no clue has been found as to where Diganta disappeared,” sources further said.

Police said no missing complaint has been filed by the family members of the youth so far.

But after the locals informed about the missing of the youth and recovery of his motorcycle, wallet, clothes and cell phone at Nimati Ghat along river Brahmaputra, the Jorhat Police intimated the State Disaster Relief Response Force (SDRF) regarding the matter.

Suspecting that he might have committed suicide by jumping into river Brahmaputra, a team of SDRF carried out a search in the river at Nimati Ghat before darkness, but they failed to find any clue.

Diganta passed out from the Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jorhat and was unemployed.

His father, Upen Bora, is an employee at Public Works Department (PWD).
