The suspected shooter later killed himself, Indianapolis police stated.

“We are aware of the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility near the Indianapolis airport,” FedEx said in a statement.

“Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected. We are working to gather more information and are cooperating with investigating authorities,” the company said.

A reporter with WRTV posted an interview on Twitter with a man who said he had been at the facility when the shooting broke out and later saw a body on the floor.

Earlier, law enforcement officials said there was a “mass casualty situation” at the FedEx facility located at 8951 Mirabel Road in Indianapolis.
