Union education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that he will address all concerns regarding CBSE class X and class XII board exams, 2021 in an interactive session with students, teachers and parents on December 10.

He has asked all stakeholders to share their concerns, suggestions to interact with stakeholders and opinions on CBSE class X and class XII board exams by using the hashtag #EducationMinisterGoesLive.

“Dear all, 2020 has been a year of a great many changes like adjusting to #onlineeducation, adapting to #newnormal,” the minister tweeted on December 2.

“Happy to share that I am going live on December 10 to talk about the upcoming competitive/board exams with you. Drop your concerns below using #EducationMinisterGoesLive,” he said.

CBSE had announced that the board exams will be conducted in a conventional manner and students will have to sit for written examinations, though the dates are yet to be finalized.

“We are yet to take a final decision regarding the dates for class X and class XII board exams and we are consulting all stakeholders in this regard,” a report quoted a senior CBSE official said.

“The exams will be conducted in the written mode following all Covid-19 protocols,” he said.

CBSE releases the date sheet for class X and class XII board exams in December and conducts the examinations in February and March.

However, CBSE may not be able to conduct the board exams exactly on time next year due to the ongoing pandemic.

There were also reports of it conducting the practical exams for class X and class XII in January next year.

The central education board has already released sample papers and marking schemes for the board exams, which the students can access by logging into its official website.

The Union education ministry will also launch a campaign to seek views from students, parents and teachers on how and when to conduct the board exams next year.
