Police and Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint operation have seized ‘ganja’ (cannabis) worth around Rs 70 lakh in Tripura’s Churaibari
Acting on a tip off, a team of police and BSF intercepted a truck and seized ‘ganja’ (cannabis) worth around Rs 70 lakh in Tripura’s Churaibari on (Sunday) November 24.
They have seized 88 packets of dry cannabis weighing 818 kg.
Police said the driver of the truck has been apprehended.
The ‘ganja’ consignment was seized from a truck with a Haryana registration number from the Churaibari check post at the Tripura-Assam border.”
Further investigation is underway in connection with the case.
