A policeman was killed by terrorists at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
A media report quoted officials as saying that the policeman was targeted by the terrorists in Srinagar’s Batmaloo area.
The constable, who was killed in the firing, has been identified as Tausif Ahmad.
He was reportedly killed near his residence at SD Colony in Batamaloo.

The quoted an official as saying: “At 8 pm, terrorists fired upon J&KP constable Tausif Ahmad near his home at SD Colony in Batamaloo.”
The official said the constable was critically injured.

The critically injured cop was rushed to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital, better known as SMHS Hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
The area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched by the security forces to catch the terrorists.
