The Telangana government has decided to extend lockdown till May 7 and the state cabinet also decided not to give any exemption to any sector.

โ€œThe night curfew and all other restrictions under implementation in the state will continue till May 7,โ€ said chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Rao further requested the air travellers to not come to Telangana till May 7 during the lockdown period.

Rao also appealed to the people to avoid religious congregation including during the month of Ramzan.

โ€œAll essential services will be available as they have been made available now,โ€ Rao said.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Telangana rose to 858 as 18 more people tested positive on Sunday.

With the registration of three more deaths, the total COVID-19 deaths in the state rose to 21.
