The Telangana government has decided to extend lockdown till May 7 and the state cabinet also decided not to give any exemption to any sector.
“The night curfew and all other restrictions under implementation in the state will continue till May 7,” said chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Rao further requested the air travellers to not come to Telangana till May 7 during the lockdown period.
Rao also appealed to the people to avoid religious congregation including during the month of Ramzan.
“All essential services will be available as they have been made available now,” Rao said.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Telangana rose to 858 as 18 more people tested positive on Sunday.
With the registration of three more deaths, the total COVID-19 deaths in the state rose to 21.
