Following a forceful subscription for Durga Puja, communal violence took place between the two religions leading to the massive destruction of properties including shops and houses.
The Government has also clamped 163 BNSS to restore the law and order in the area.
While discussing Durga Puja, Saha highlighted Tripura’s longstanding tradition of celebrating the festival harmoniously.
“The Puja festivities began on Tritiya, and I participated in the inauguration on Chaturthi. Today, on Panchami, I have come again to be a part of the celebrations. Everywhere you go, there’s a palpable sense of joy. However, there are always some who attempt to disrupt this peaceful environment,” he said.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant during the celebrations. “Tripura has a beautiful tradition of organizing Durga Puja, and I hope everyone is enjoying these festive days. We extend our heartfelt wishes to the people of Tripura,” Saha added.
