Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani on Wednesday shared the recipe of a traditional dish from Nagaland with her followers on Twitter as a mark of celebrating PoshanMaah 2020.

The National Nutrition month or PoshanMaah 2020 which commenced from September 1 will continue till September 30.

The video of the recipe which was shared by the Union Minister on Twitter featured a 13-year-old Dimapur based chef AyimImchen cooking the dish.

Irani also said that the young chef had learned to make the nutritious dish from her grandmother.

โ€œ13-year-old budding Chef AyimImchen from Dimapur has learnt a traditional dish from her Grandmother. This simple nutritious recipe from Nagaland is just the tip of the huge iceberg called Indian cuisine,โ€ Irani tweeted.

 

The video showed the young chef preparing Naga Yam Stew with Yam, mustard leaves, tomatoes, chilli and ginger.

The recipe was one of the many entries received as a part of POSHAN Abhiyan โ€˜Recipe Contestโ€™ organized by MyGovIndia to celebrate National Nutrition month or PoshanMaah 2020.
