Senior Congress leader and the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. T

Azad informed this in a tweet and requested every person who came in his contact in the last few days to follow COVID-19 safety protocol.

The 71-year-old Congress leader is the fourth senior party member to have tested positive for COVID-19.

Other senior Congress leaders who have tested positive for the disease include Ahmed Patel, Motilal Vora and Abhishek Singhvi.

Among these three, Singhvi has recovered and other leaders are still undergoing treatment.

It may be mentioned here that Azad is among the 20-star campaigners of Congress for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
