Senior Congress leader, Ahmed Patel, who tested positive for Covid19, has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon.

He was infected by Covid19 a few weeks ago.

However, the condition of the Congress MP is stated to be stable.

Informing about the MP’s condition, Patel’s son Faisal tweeted: “On behalf of his family, we would like to share that Shri Ahmed Patel had tested positive for Covid19 a few weeks ago.”

“He has now been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon for further treatment. His condition is stable and he continues to be under medical observation.”

“We will provide you updates from this handle. We request you to pray for his speedy recovery,” he added.

Wishes continue to pour in seeking Patel’s speedy recovery.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has wished speedy and complete recovery of Patel.

“I wish Ahmed Patel ji a speedy and complete recovery at the earliest. The party needs his able guidance every step of the way,” Gandhi tweeted.

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president and Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora has also prayed for Patel’s speedy recovery.

“Deeply concerned and praying for speedy recovery of senior congress leader Shri Ahmed Patel ji. Wishing you come out hale and hearty soon,” Bora tweeted.
