Top Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has arrived in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, where she will address a mega kisan (farmers) rally.
The Congress seems to have taken the battle straight into the BJP’s court as Varanasi is the Lok Sabha constituency from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected twice.
Priyanka Gandhi will address Kisan Nyay (justice for farmers) rally in Varanasi’s Rohania area.
Priyanka Gandhi is accompanied by Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and MP Deepender Singh Hooda.

Priyanka Gandhi’s Varanasi trip comes in the backdrop of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has sought appointment with President Ram Nath Kovind for a 7-member party delegation led by Rahul Gandhi to present a detailed memorandum of facts on the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
