Patanjali CEO and co-founder Acharya Balkrishna recently claimed that the company had found an Ayurvedic medicine that can help in curing COVID-19.

He also claimed that the medicine was able to cure COVID-19 patients within 5-14 days.

“We appointed a team of scientists after Covid-19 outbreak. Firstly, the simulation was done and compounds were identified which can fight the virus and stop its spread in the body. Then, we conducted a clinical case study on hundreds of positive patients and we have got 100 per cent favourable results,” ANI quoted Balkrishna as saying.

He also said that clinical trials were conducted in Indore and in Jaipur after Patanjali had got permission last week.

He said COVID-19 patients who were given the Ayurvedic medicine also tested negative for the virus.

“So, we can say the cure for COVID is possible through Ayurveda. We are performing controlled clinical trials only. In the next few days, evidence and data will be released by us,” he added.

Many organizations are also researching on developing a cure for coronavirus infection which has already claimed over 400,000 lives globally.

In an interview with India TV on Sunday, Patanjali founder Ramdev said that COVID-19 patients who were administered Patanjali medicine ‘Coronil’ showed 100 per cent recovery rate.
