One person was shot dead and another injured in an unprecedented shooting outside a hospital in Paris, France on Monday.

An unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreant opened fire on two persons outside the Henri Dunant Hospital in Paris, killing one and injuring another.

“One person died and one is seriously injured,” Paris police sources claimed.

The attacker fled the crime scene after shooting the two persons.

The incident took place at round 1:30pm (Paris time).

According to reports, the surviving victim is being treated at the Henry Dunant hospital.

The motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.

Paris Police has launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to trace the attacker.

Paris police has launched a man-hunt to nab the gunman.

The person killed is a man and the person injured is a woman, who was working as a security agent for the hospital.

Henry Dunant is a private geriatric hospital owned by the Red Cross in the upmarket 16th district in Paris.

The hospital runs a Covid-19 vaccination centre.

Several gunshots were reported outside the hospital.

Paris police said the shooter fired several shots before fleeing on a two-wheeled vehicle.
