Padma Shri awardee and former president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) – Dr KK Aggarwal has died of COVID-19. 

KK Aggarwal, a well-known personality in India’s medical fraternity died on Monday night due to COVID-19 complications.

KK Aggarwal died at AIIMS-Delhi at around 11:30pm on Monday night. 

KK Aggarwal was on ventilator support at AIIMS-Delhi for the past few days.

He was 62-years-old at the time of his demise. 

Dr Aggarwal died “after a lengthy battle with Covid”. 

“Ever since he became a doctor, Padma Shri Dr KK Aggarwal has dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness. Even during the pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and was able to reach out to over 100 million people through numerous videos and educational programs and saved countless lives,” said the statement.
