The Nagaland Pradesh Congress on Tuesday announced a list of its 23 party candidates after it was approved by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to contest on Congress tickets for the ensuing Nagaland Assembly polls 2018.

The candidates, who have been named in the Congress list, are   W Kholie Kapfo, who will contest from 1 Dimapur-I constituency, Khaminlun Tunglung who will contest from 3 Dimapur-III constituency, Nagavito Sumi who will contest from 4 Ghaspani-I constituency, Khekiye K Sema (5 Ghaspani-II constituency), Nagakul Tase (14 Southern Angami-I), Kewekhape Therie (16 Pfutsero), Kewepelo Tsuhah (17 Chizami) and Shezota Lohe will contest from 19 Phek constituency.

The party candidates who have been named in the Congress list include Lepzungchiba Jamir who will contest from 21 Tuli, Dr Limawati Jamir (26 Aonglenden), Rongsen Shilu (27 Mokokchung Town), Hobeto Kiba (35 Zunheboto), ET Ezung (40 Bhandari), Naowang Konyak (41 Tizit), Lanpha Konyak (43 Tapi), T Ngampai Konyak (44 Phomching), Shaboh Konyak (45 Tehok) and Hawang T Wangsha (46 Mon Town), Shami Angh (50 Longleng), I Noksenlemba Chang (51 Noksen), Choakpa Konyak (55 Tobu), Dr Aimong Lam (56 Noklak) and Pakhiu Khiamniungan will contest from 57 Thonoknyu constituency.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Janata Dal (U) on Monday released its first list of 11 candidates for the ensuing Assembly polls to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2018.

The candidates are – G Kaito Aye who will contest from 36 Satakha Assembly constituency, L Temjem Jamir (21 Tuli constituency), Mhnbemo Humtsoe (38 Wokha constituency), Ramongo Jami (39 Sanis constituency), Chopathung Odyuo (37 Tyui constituency) and Shashimar Jamir (24 Angetyonggpang constituency).

The other candidates include H Mukam (58 Shamator-Chesore), K Khaming (56 Noklak constituency), SK Sangtam (52 Longkhim-Chari constituency), T Yangseo Sangtam (60 Pungro-Kiphire and N Aphoa Konyak who will contest for 43 Tapi Assembly seat.
