A ‘gang war’ between monkeys and dogs seems to have been taking place at Beed district in Maharashtra.

In what appears to be an act of retaliation and revenge, a pack of murderous monkeys in Beed district of Maharashtra have killed over 250 dogs in the last one month.

This act of revenge by the monkeys came after an infant monkey was killed by dogs earlier this year.

This enmity between dogs and monkeys started at Majalgaon in Beed district of Maharashtra.

Monkeys have been seen reportedly dragging puppies onto rooftops and trees and throwing them down.

Locals in the district, in fact tried to bring an end to the animosity between the two species, but to no avail.

People in the district informed the forest department about the situation, to which the forest officials responded.

But the forest department could do little to end the animosity.

In fact, ‘interference’ of people in the ‘gang war’ between the two species, outrage the monkeys and they started to even attack school children.

In one reported incident, an eight-year-old boy was mauled and dragged by monkeys, forcing villagers to pelt stones to scare them off.

Meanwhile, officials of the forest department have managed to capture few monkeys that have been terrorising Majalgaon village.
