Nepal, which was hit by a massive earthquake in 2015, has 327 settlements across the country which require protection.
These settlements and places are at extreme risk of landslides- posing a threat to both life and properties.
One such village is Lidi- from where the government has evacuated a number of families for safety reasons after a massive landslide damaged 37 houses.
Moreover, in a massive earthquake on Sunday at Sindhupalchowk district’s Jugal Rural Municipality area killed 18 people and 21 others went missing.
“A search and rescue operation was ongoing in the affected area,” the authorities further added.
“Among the dead, 11 are children, four women and three men,” the authorities informed.
Meanwhile, the local administration has relocated affected people to a nearby safe location.
It was further informed by the authorities a nearby hill has also remained split open and there are 25 houses below that hill.
