In an audio message posted on the group’s YouTube channel, Khandhlawi said, “We should follow the instructions given by the authorities, and listen to the doctors.”
“We should avoid gathering at places and provide support and help to the government in these times,” he added.
“To go against the law is against our principles and we should not do it at any cost,” he further said.
Kandhlawi’s message came amid the ongoing raids by the police in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
It is believed that the Tablighi Jamaat chief is hiding at an undisclosed location.
In another audio message released earlier, Kandhlawi said that he was under self-quarantine.
