The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has launched a unique internet-based liquor distribution system for its serving and retired personnel.
The ITBP force guards the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
ITBP personnels serving in remote locations of the country have little access to all liquor brands.
This liquor distribution system will offer the liquor band of their choice to these personnels.

Paramilitary forces like the ITBP are authorized to get liquor under government rules, a report stated.
Other paramilitary forces like the BSF, CISF, SSB and central forces like the NDRF and NSG also have access to this online distribution system of liquor.
According to sources, jawans and officers of the paramilitary and central forces could only purchase liquor only from the canteens of the units where they were posted.
They could not procure liquor from the canteens of other units of the force even if they were based near their native place.
