A suspected Islamic State operative, identified as Yusuf, has been arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell in a late-night operation on Friday.

The Special Cell officials have been interrogating the IS operative since Saturday morning about his presence and plans in Delhi.

The accused was arrested with two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the Ridge Road between Dhaula Kuan and Karol Bagh.

There was also an exchange of fire between the police and the arrested IS operative.
