Phrangki Buam, a 19-year-old midfielder from Shillong Lajong FC, has signed a three-year contract with FC Goa.

Making his senior debut on the national stage in the 2018/19 season of the Hero I-League, the youngster went on to become an instant hit.

He scored six goals for Shillong Lajong FC in that campaign, making him the third-highest Indian goal scorer in the league and the highest for the club.

Speaking to fcgoa.in after completing the transfer, Buam said, โ€œWell, itโ€™s an absolute honour for me to join FC Goa.โ€

โ€œI am happy and excited. There is real joy in my heart and I am really looking forward to my future as a Gaur,โ€ he said.

โ€œTo be honest, over the past few years, I have become a fan of FC Goa. The style and the mentality to always attack is something that drew me,โ€ he added.

โ€œI watched nearly all the FC Goa games last season and even when I couldnโ€™t, I would watch the whole replay,โ€ he added.

โ€œSo, this is like making my dream move. I hope to now give my best and bring even more success for the team in the times to come,โ€ he further said.
