The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has begun its preparations for the 14th edition of the IPL (Indian Premier League).

Players of the RCB hit the nets on Tuesday.

Nine-day conditioning camp of the RCB for the IPL 2021 began on Tuesday in Chennai.

11 RCB players sweated it out during Day 1 of the training on Tuesday for the IPL 2021.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep saini and Mohammad Siraj were among the 11 RCB players who hit the nets on Tuesday.

The rest players of the RCB are set to join the camp after completing their seven-day mandatory quarantine period put in place by the IPL authorities.

“A nine-day conditioning camp has begun for Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Centre for Sports Science (CSS) facilities at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai…,” the RCB said in a statement.

“The camp will provide an opportunity for all players to work with experienced coaches and staff like Sanjay Bangar, Sriram Sridharan, Adam Griffith, Shankar Basu and Malolan Rangarajan.

“The camp is focused on strenuous fitness drills for conditioning and strengthening regimes under the guidance of Shankar Basu,” the RCB added.

The RCB will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the IPL opening match on April 9 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Meanwhile, RCB skipper Virat Kohli will join the team on April 1.

RCB finished at the 4th spot in the 2020 edition of the IPL.
