An Indian Forest Service (IFS) trainee, who returned from Spain recently, has tested positive for coronavirus in Uttarakhand, the first in the state.
Speaking to a popular news agency Uttarakhand Additional Director Health Yugal Kishor Pant said that samples of around 25 people were sent for testing.
“While 17 people have tested negative for coronavirus, but one trainee IFS tested positive,” Pant said.
As per reports, a team of doctors is finding out the number of people the infected person had came in contact with.
Sources further informed that the Uttarakhand government has declared coronavirus an epidemic and has ordered to shut down all multiplexes, cinema halls, degree colleges and technical institutes till March 31.
