India recorded 2,22,315 new Covid19 cases and 4,454 more deaths in the last 24 hours.

With the demise of 4,454 patients, India’s Covid19 death toll reached 3,03,720 on Monday.

India now has become the world’s third country after the US and Brazil to cross three-lakh deaths due to Covid19.

With 2,22,315 new cases in 24 hours, India witnessed the lowest rise in Covid19 infection since April 21, according to the data shared by the Union health ministry.

The country’s overall Covid19 tally now stands at 2,67,52,447.

India currently has 27,20,716 active Covid19 cases.

In the last 12 days, more than 50,000 Covid19 deaths have been recorded in India.

A total of 3,02,544 people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have been discharged in the last 24 hours, with 2,37,28,011 being cured till date, according to the Union health ministry data.

According to the Union health ministry, a total of 19,60,51,962 people have been administered Covid19 vaccines so far in the country.

A total of 9,42,722 people were vaccinated across India in the last 24 hours.

A total of 33,05,36,064 samples have been tested till May 23 for Covid19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Of the total samples, 19,28,127 samples were tested for Covid19 on Sunday.

On Sunday, India recorded 3,741 Covid19 deaths and over 2.40 lakh new positive cases.
