India on Tuesday lost to Belgium 5-2 in the men’s hockey semi-final at Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Now, the Indian hockey team will play for the bronze medal at the mega event.

After the loss in the semi-final, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “wins and losses are a part of life”.
PM Modi lauded the men’s hockey team at Tokyo Olympics 2020 for their best efforts in the Games.
He wished the team “the very best” for the next match.

According to a match report, after conceding an early goal, India roared back to take a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter of the mach.
But Belgium equalised in the second quarter of the match.
India conceded 3 goals in the final quarter and lost the chance of going through to the final.
While Mandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh scored for India, Alexander Hendrickx scored a remarkable hat-trick for Belgium.
The other hockey semifinal will be played between Australia and Germany on Tuesday.
