A Google employee in Bengaluru has tested positive for coronavirus, the search engine giant confirmed on Friday.
The 26-year-old man recently returned from Greece, Google further informed.

We can confirm that an employee from our Bengaluru office has been diagnosed with COVID-19,” a Google statement said.

“He was in one of our Bengaluru offices for a few hours before developing any symptoms,” the statement added.

“The employee has been on quarantine since then. #CoronaVirus,” the statement further added.
The search engine giant has asked other employees to work from home and those who may have come in close contact with the patient have been asked to quarantine themselves.

Speaking to the media, Karnataka health minister B Sriramulu, “He visited several places in Bengaluru before he tested positive for coronavirus.”
“He has been placed in isolation at a Bengaluru hospital,” Sriramulu added
“Presently we are tracing those persons who might have come in contact with him,” the minister further said
