Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tested positive for COVID-19 and has gone into isolation.

Informing about it in a tweet on Saturday, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that he is under medication and treatment according to the advice of doctors.

โ€œGod wants me to stop for a while and take a break,โ€ Fadnavis said.

It may be mentioned here that the former Maharashtra CM is in charge of the BJPโ€™s poll campaign for the Bihar assembly polls, which is scheduled on October 28, November 3 and November 7.

The counting of votes will take place on November 10.

โ€œI have been working every single day since the lockdown but now it seems that God wants me to stop for a while and take a break! I have tested Covid-19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication & treatment as per the advice of the doctors,โ€ he wrote on Twitter.
