An FIR has been lodged against Bollywood actor and right-winged activist Kangana Ranaut for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.

The FIR against Kangana Ranaut was filed by Amarjeet Singh Sandhu along with leaders of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Kangana Ranaut has been accused of portraying the farmers’ protest as Khalistani movement and calling them ‘Khalistanis’ on social media.

The complainants accused the Bollywood actor of hurting their religious sentiments by making derogatory statements through her Instagram profile.

Kangana’s post read: “Khalistani Terrorist may be arm twisting the government today…but let’s not forget the woman prime minister had crushed them under her shoe…no matter how much suffering she caused to this nation…she crushed them like mosquitoes at the cost of her own life…but did not allow the country to break into pieces…even decades after her death…they still shiver on hearing her name…they need gurus like her.”

The FIR has been lodged at the Khar police station in Mumbai under section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).
