Head coach of Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri has tested COVID-19 positive.

Ravi Shastri’s RT-PCR test results have returned positive.

Shastri will now be in isolation for 14 days.

The Indian cricket team is currently in England for a 5-match Test series.

Earlier, Ravi Shastri was put under isolation after his lateral flow test for COVID-19 turned out to be positive on Saturday (September 4) evening.

Along with Shastri, the bowling coach Bharat Arun. fielding coach R Sridhar and physiotherapist Nitin Patel have also been kept under isolation.

However, the players have tested negative on two lateral flow tests.

Ravi Shastri will have to miss the fifth test match to be played at Manchester from September 10 as he will have to be in isolation.
