The union health ministry on Sunday said that a second case of the novel coronavirus has been confirmed in Kerala and the patient has been kept in isolation.
The patient, who often keeps travelling to China, however, is reportedly stable and being closely monitored.

The first confirmed case of the virus in India was confirmed on Thursday in Kerala’s Thrissur when a girl student, who returned from Wuhan, tested positive.
She is admitted in Thrissur Medical College and is recovering and her condition is stated to be stable.
“The Centre is making every possible effort to deal with coronavirus,” said union health minister Harsh Vardhan.

At least 324 Indians have been evacuated from China so far.
The union health ministry informed that since January 18, passengers coming from China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand are being screened for fever at the airports.
At least 52,332 passengers from 326 flights at 21 airports have been screened for the virus so far.
