In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, the Indian Railways on Sunday announced that all trains, except freight trains, stand cancelled till March 31.

“All passenger train services on Indian Railways including premium train services, mail/express trains, passenger trains, suburban trains, Kolkata Metro, Konkan Railways, etc, will be cancelled toll March 31,” the Railways said in a statement.

“Trains which had already commenced journey prior to 4 am on Sunday, will run-up to their destinations. Adequate arrangements shall be made for the passengers, who have commenced their journey during the travel and at their destinations,” the statement added.

“To make it more convenient for passengers, a full refund for all cancelled trains may be taken till June 21, 2020,” the statement further added.

“Adequate arrangements shall be made to facilitate hassle-free refund to passengers affected by train cancellations,” it added.
