Protests have erupted in Kathmandu over alleged annexation of Nepal territory by China.

Around 200 volunteers of Loktantrik Yuva Manch (LYU) staged a protest in Kathmandu, media reports said.

The protest was staged to highlight alleged occupation of Nepal territory in Humla district by China.

Anti-China slogans such as “China, return our land”, “China, stop interfering in Nepal’s internal affairs” and “Go back China” were raised during the demonstration.

According to reports, residents of Humla district in Nepal have demanded an investigation into alleged construction of 10-12 buildings by China inside the Nepali borders.

According to reports, Beijing has surreptitiously constructed structures in the Humla district and has barred people from accessing them.
