The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is looking at a possibility of hosting the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 from September 25 to November 1.

The possibility will become a reality only if the number of COVID-19 infections in the country is lowered considerably.

Quoting an unnamed BCCI source, Hindustan Times reported as “It is still early days as a lot of other things have to fall in place for this to materialise.”

“But yes, the BCCI is looking at a September 25-November 1 window provided the number of cases in the country comes down and the government does give a go-ahead,” the report added.

The claim made by the BCCI source was also supported by an official of an IPL franchise, who said that they are indeed “working” on a road ahead.
