Legendary Pakistani bowler Saqlain Mushtaq has expressed his displeasure in the way the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) “treat” former captain MS Dhoni.
The inventor of ‘doosra’ Mushtaq said that the BCCI “did not treat Dhoni in the right way”.
“I always say positive things and try not to spread negativity in any way but I think I should say this. This is kind of a defeat of BCCI,” the spin wizard said on his Youtube channel.
“They did not treat a big player like him in the right way,” he said.
“The retirement shouldn’t have happened like this. This is coming straight from my heart and I believe millions of his fans feel the same way,” Mushtaq added.
“I’m really sorry to BCCI that I’m saying this but they didn’t treat Dhoni well, I’m hurt,” he further said.
Former team India captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 evening.
He played last for team India in the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand in 2019.
“It would’ve been great to see him retire after playing in the India kit for one last time,” Saqlain Mushtaq further added.
