Police on Saturday informed that a 24-year-old scientist, working in the Rare Materials Project at the Bhabha Atomic Research Institute near Mysuru, has been missing for the last four days.
Identified as Gulla Abhiseka Reddy, the missing scientist was working as an assistant scientific officer.
He was a resident of Cauvery Layout (New Janata Colony) at Yelawala in Mysuru.
Police informed that he had moved to Mysuru from Chitturu district in Andhra Pradesh a year ago after he secured a job at BARC.
“Reddy was suffering from depression and migraine, so he might have left without informing anyone,” the police said.
The young scientist was living alone after his parents’ die a couple of months ago.
His neighbour last saw Reddy leaving his house on a two-wheeler on October 6 afternoon.
A case has been registered with the Yelawala police and the case is being investigated.
