Bangladeshi teen, 17-year-old Sadat Rahman has won the International Children’s Peace Prize 2020 for his fight against cyberbullying.
Human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai on Friday announced the name of Sadat as this year’s winner of the prize.

Sadat has been awarded for his involvement in setting up his social organization and mobile app “Cyber Teens” to stop cyberbullying.
According to reports, Sadat started his campaign after a 15-year-old girl, who committed suicide due to cyberbullying.
Through his app Cyber Teens, Sadat has provided a platform to the helpless teenagers, who need help.

The app has supported over 300 victims of cyberbullying.
Cyber Teens, which has reached 45,000 teenagers, led to the arrest of 8 perpetrators of cybercrimes.
Sadat is quoted as saying in the Hague: “In 2017 Rohingya people sought refuge in Bangladesh due to violence in their country, I started organizing activities for them, it was then that I discovered the power of youth coming together.”
The Bangladeshi teen also said: “I feel proud to represent Bangladesh to the rest of the world with my work.”
Sadat further added that he will feel achieving success “when no one needs to use” his app and there “will be no cyberbullying anymore.”
