Bangladeshi smuggler held with narcotics

Troops of Border Security Force (BSF) under Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Bangladeshi smuggler and one Indian smuggler from the bordering areas in Coochbehar district of West Bengal.

Acting on a tip-off, troops of BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation at Dharla under Sahebganj in Coochbehar and apprehended one Indian smuggler along with paddy seeds, while these contrabands were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

The apprehended smuggler has been identified as Mojabfar Hoque, 28, a resident of Purba Sahebganj in Coochbehar.

In the second incident, the BSF troops carried out a special operation in Digaltari under Sahebganj police station in Coochbehar district and apprehended one Bangladeshi narcotics smuggler along with Ganja, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

The apprehended Bangladeshi smuggler has been identified as Md Jahrul Islam, 48, a resident of Barjani in Kurigram district Bangladesh.

Apprehended smugglers along with seized items have been handed over to Sahebganj police station for further legal action.
