Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Assistant Managers in 2026.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 37,300/- to Rs. 1,12,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 14,200/-

Eligibility Criteria :

i. Assistant Manager (Electrical):

Full time B.E/B.Tech. degree in (Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering) should be from University/Institution approved by AICTE and the course duration should be of minimum 4 years after H.S.S.L.C or equivalent or 3 years after completion of full time Diploma course in Engineering from any Govt./Govt. recognized/AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution or 2 years (base) + 2 years (diploma) + 2 years Engineering course from Govt./Govt. recognized/AICTE approved Institution. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination of B.E/B.Tech for the said post is required. In case of SC & ST candidates, minimum 50% marks is must in the qualifying examination of Bachelor Degree.

ii. Assistant Manager (Mechanical):

Full time B.E/B.Tech. degree in (Mechanical Engineering) should be from University/ Institution approved by AICTE and the course duration should be of minimum 4 years after H.S.S.L.C or equivalent or 3 years after completion of full time Diploma course in Engineering from any Govt./Govt. recognized /AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution or 2 years (base) + 2 years (diploma) + 2 years Engineering course from Govt./Govt. recognized/ AICTE approved Institution. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination of B.E/B.Tech for the said post is necessary. In case of SC & ST candidates, minimum 50% marks is must in the qualifying examination of Bachelor Degree.

iii. Assistant Manager (Instrumentation):

Full time B.E/B.Tech. degree in (Instrumentation Engineering) should be from University/ Institution approved by AICTE and the course duration should be of minimum 4 years after H.S.S.L.C or equivalent or 3 years after completion of full time Diploma course Engineering from any Govt./Govt. recognized /AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution or 2 years (base) + 2 years (diploma) + 2 years Engineering course from Govt./Govt. recognized/AICTE approved

iv. Assistant Manager (IT):

Full time B.E/B.Tech. degree in (Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology) should be from University/Institution approved by AICTE and the course duration should
be of minimum 4 years after H.S.S.L.C or equivalent or 3 years after completion of full time Diploma course in Engineering from any Govt./Govt. recognized /AICTE approved Polytechnic/ Institution or 2 years (base) + 2 years (diploma) + 2 years Engineering course from Govt./Govt. recognized/AICTE approved Institution. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination of B.E/B.Tech for the said post is necessary. In case of SC & ST candidates, minimum 50% marks is must in the qualifying examination of Bachelor Degree.

v. Assistant Manager (Civil):

Full time B.E/B.Tech. degree in (Civil Engineering) should be from University/Institution approved by AICTE and the course duration should be of minimum 4 years after H.S.S.L.C or equivalent or 3 years after completion of full time Diploma course in Engineering from any Govt./Govt. recognized /AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution or 2 years (base) + 2 years (diploma) + 2 years Engineering course from Govt./Govt. recognized/AICTE approved Institution. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination of B.E/B.Tech for the said post is necessary. In case of SC & ST candidates, minimum 50% marks is must in the qualifying examination of Bachelor Degree.

vi. Assistant Manager (HR):

2 (Two) years full time MBA/PGDM Degree with specialization in (Human Resource Management/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations) from any Indian University/ Institution approved by AICTE/UGC. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination of
MBA/PGDM for the said post is necessary. In case of SC & ST candidates, minimum 55% marks is must in the qualifying examination of MBA/PGDM Degree

Age Limit :

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38years of age as on 01-01-2026. The upper age limit is relaxable:

(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.

(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years

(iii) Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates

(iv) For Ex-servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (fifty) years as on 01.01.2026 for Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

(v) In case of Assistant Manager (Human Resource), the upper age limit is relaxable upto 45 (forty five) years for departmental candidates.
